This morning I was thinking about how I haven’t paused lately to feel GRATITUDE for where I am, what I have, and what my life looks like right now. It is too easy to get swept up into the busy movement of our days. It is so easy to lose perspective of who we are, what we have built, and how we got to where we are.
It is too easy to keep moving while forgetting to pause.
How do you pause?
I am hoping to be more intentional with how I pause and give thanks in my day.
Step one: Remind yourself of what you have. I know this sounds silly, but have you stepped back to look at your life from the outside? Many times, your worst days or most stressful times are someone else’s best case scenario. Take a step back, take a deep breath in, and identify ONE thing in your life that you are GRATEFUL for. You have so much to be grateful for.
Step two: Remind yourself of how you got here. Who has been the person who has supported you the most? Who is on the other end of the phone when you need to process something, cry your eyes out, or laugh because sometimes you just need to laugh? We don’t get anywhere by ourselves. Lean on the people around you and feel GRATITUDE for the ones who have supported you along the way.
Step three: Remind yourself of your goals. You are capable of what you envision for yourself. You alone can accomplish your biggest dreams. What is holding you back? What is your biggest barrier? Baby steps to overcoming those boundaries. You got this.
Feeling gratitude is an actionable outcome that improves the way you see yourself and the world around you.
Right now, pause to:
- Tell yourself ONE thing you are grateful for. Hold it in your heart.
- Text or call someone who has supported you and tell them why you are grateful for them. Hold them in your heart.
- Jot down one goal you are hoping to accomplish in the next couple of weeks. Bring it to life.
Once you’ve done those three things, hop over to my instagram page @kaseyroselynch to tell me all about it!
